My computer won't display any picture and the monitor is fine. What might be wrong? When I switched my computer off there was a funny burning smell. Now when I switch it on the computer starts up and the monitor will switch on but will stay in standby as there is no signal. How does Facebook determine which 10 friends to display on your profile? This is something that has been bugging me for a while. I will tell you the level of interaction and stuff that I have with the 10 people displayed on my profile. 1. This is my very best friend, whom I interact with A LOT publicly on facebook. 2. The boy I like a lot's old account. This one confuses me because he hasn't used it in about 2 months, but he did have a crush on my a while back so I thought maybe he had been visiting my page frequently. 3. Myspace deleting picture that wasn't in violation of terms? I do not have any explict or violent pictures. Everything is appropriate. I mean if u come across someone's display picture with say Homer Simpson in his underwear, it would be funny for most people, no one would find anything sexual about it. computer acting really funny after a restart? ok my internet was running really bad like after 5 mins the page wouldn't refresh or anythang so i said what the hey lets do a restart, when i did and it came back up my theme was on windows XP but now is on classic and the theme is gone, also i tryed to go to windows updates to fix it but it each time i got to start all programs window updates the page will say internet explorer cant be displayed i even tryed typing it in on my address bar and it wouldn't work , i had no internet or anythang but i got the internet back finally, I also play a game called Puzzle Pirates and it wont show any pictures of anythang on it. i cant fix the theme i can do nothing and im getting really pissed off and nothing is working on it plz somone help, It is a Acer laptop and i tryed to do a system restore and it didn't change a thang on my computer, also a few days ago i got a message from my AVG saying virus blocked so main problem is lack of theme and picture display problems, please somone help me

Is the anti-spyware suddenly closing my YM? After installing Spybot - Search & Destroy, my YM 8 started acting funny. Whenever I would try to send/receive files, upload new display pictures or anything that required browsing through my files, YM 8 would suddenly close. I tried installing YM 9, thinking that it would solve my problem, but now I think it has something to do with the anti-spyware software. Has anyone worked with this software before? What is wrong with my display/graphics card? On friday in the middle of a bit of FM my screen went all funny like the picture and FM stopped and when i tried clicking things the computer would beep. I have downloaded new drivers for the graphics card and everything but it keeps doing it. I turned the display from 32 bit to 16bit and its ok for the moment but it keeps doing it and I've had to turn my graphics card off. (well disable it in the device manager thing) I've also tried the computer on a different monitor and get the same problem. The screen now doesnt scroll properly either when you scroll down instead of sort of 'gliding' it now looks like waves. I cant really explain it but i can record my computer starting up if you like as when it starts up from the purple screen saying packard bell to the XP log on screen its got all lines down the screen. Are you a clown at work? What do you do that is funny? I make a joke out of everything in the office. Often I make light of our products. That sort of thing is expected of me these days. Even the bosses look at me to say something nutty when everything goes wrong. They say my off-the-wall humor keep things “sane”. I am very unhappy with our most current project. Pretty much everyone is. It is a glorified piece of embedded office equipment that runs Linux. I renamed it the “Lemon 2000”. A prototype on my desk with lemons all around it. I wrote a “slide show” program that shows pictures of lemons on the display, but does nothing else (I did that on my time). Everyone thinks it is funny. I am now regarded as a “folk hero” around the office. Would you do that?

How do I cause a specific picture to pop up on my blog only when a visitor clicks on a link? My blog is on blogger.com and I've got a funny picture I'm going to post. HOWEVER, I don't want the picture to automatically display. I'm going to tell the story behind the picture, and then have a link for visitors to click on to make this picture pop up. That way they won't be able to see the picture before reading the story. Is this even possible? Is there an html code I can use? How do I fix the length on my TV display? It's hard to explain what I need help with so I will show you pictures. Why Can't I Display Movies (WMV, DVD, etc) On Projected Screen? I am using an Acer Aspire 5100-3583 Notebook. AMD Turion 64, ATI Radeon Express (share 128mb), 1 GB DDR2. There is no problem with my notebook. My driver is uptodate (according to windows update). The spreadsheet, movies, and others are working fine. But when I connect my notebook to an LCD Projector. It won't display movies (wmv, 3gp, dvd, etc). Everything is fine, but just there is this empty, black, and blank screen. The movies (the picture) won't show up. Just the sound. But the funny thing is, if I try to convert to the other format (as far as I know it works only with FLV - flash movie) it would show up. But the quality of the picture is horrible. This problem has been bugging me for months. Please help for anybody who understands. I have asked microsoft vendor. They said, well it is just like that >.<.

My Monitor is really messed up HELP!? Movie directing / producing. What does it take? I'm 17 and graduating very soon. Im good with computers and social life but for the most part VERY CREATIVE. Ever seen one of those "penile vacuumn pumps" while waiting n line to pick up a prescription at the drugstore? All kinds of scenarios run through your mind when you're stuck in a 20-minute line. Self esteem issues and family support? Ive always felt inferior to everyone in my life. I feel like I am an embarassment to my family and friends. Im always a funny man so nobody ever takes me seriously. I just realized that none of my family members has any pictures of me on display (they have 30-60 pictures framed and sitting all over the place). ALso my partner and I have been together for 23 years. We take eveyr holiday with my family ever year, yet there are no pictures of us anywyere. Im hurt by this and its really been gnawing at me. What photo contests/pageants could I enter my son in? I know every mother says their child is cute but seriously EVERYONE (whether I kno them or not) continously stop me and compliments my son about how cute he is( 1 year, thick long curly hair, big brown eyes, and fat cheeks). He is crazily a photogenic person and many of people say his photos look like he does commercials or it looks like a picture that is displayed in a picture frame in stores. I seriously want to get him into a photo contest but all of them online seem fake. Which legit ones can I do. Vids not running right on my computer? I like to watch the silly videos on Dorks.com. After my computer crashed and I re loaded in windows XP (home version). The vids dont run properly. The audio is ok by the picture is all funny and looks very weird so I cant even make it out. The control panel display is set to 32 bit and high. I tried changing it to 16 bit and from low to high but it didnt make any difference. Are there any computer people out there who may know what the problem is and how to solve it. Thanks

backdrop with projector? my church youth group is having a fund raiser v-day banquet and will be offering couples portraits. they asked me to design a background and the idea i had that i like the best is to have a screen that is basically white or off white and use a projector or overhead projector to display different images onto that screen (flowers, hearts, etc... plus probably some funny, less romantic images such as spongebob or OU/OSU logos) and have the couple have their pictures taken in front of the screen. so what would be the cheapest and easiest way to do this?

Sony cyber-shot camera gone funny? my camera (a sony cyber shot dsc-w35) has gone weird. i accidently dropped it and everytime i turn it on , the screen displays the options for displaying date and time. then i either click cancel and ok, and then the button to view the photos but the screen turns white and "access" keeps flashing up, viewing pictures from albums i havent seen before.... i want to view photos i have previously taken but it not working, what should i do??? is there a way to reset it?

How do you know when your boyfriend has a serious porn issue? As many know, guys can be huge pervs and most check anything out in sight...but how do you know when it's a serious problem? My boyfriend of approximately a year CONSTANTLY checks out other girls (it's completely noticeable) all the time. He subscribes to several internet sites that allows you to post personal pics(flickr is the main one!), and logs on at least 3-4 times a day..He's also created his own groups displaying pictures of girls, and has even taken pictures of girls he knows and added them to these types of sites. He admits to looking at porn occassionally...but it's completely more than occassionally. The funny thing is i'm a really good looking girl(not to be conceided)...better than he has ever had as he stands 5'4'' and 160some pounds. I'm pretty sure he has NO idea that i know half of the info i do...i lived with knowing this crap for several months and it's really bothering me and starting to affect our relationship...give me some help plz!

Any cool ideas for my father in laws 80th birthday? the family is hosting a party for him at thier local church this coming weekend, and so far it's going to be cake and coffee and visiting- he requested that no one bring him presents. i wanted to add a little fun to the party by coming up with some kind of game or project to celebrate his life. The theme of the party is fishing since that is one of his favorite hobbies. he's a wonderful guy and very funny so i would like to do something cute to contribute to the party.
