Is there an easier way to upload display pictures to Windows Live Messenger other than one by one? I was wondering if there was some sort of extension I could download or folder that I could just drag and drop my display pictures/icons/avatars (whatever you want to call them) into instead of adding them one by one for use into the library of display pictures in MSN? I know this sounds silly, but I have thousands of dps that I would love to use, but no quick way to use whichever I like unless I go find it in my folder of dps (100 by 100 jpegs saved on my computer) and add it to my display picture library. Making your picture a cartoon? Is there any free website where you can upload a picture of yourself and turn it into a cartoon so that you can put it on facebook or make it your msn display picture. Basically, after you turn the picture into a cartoon, you can save it in your pictures or images.

My girlfriend is never there for me. I feel depressed. What should I do? I've been dating my girlfriend online for the past five years now. Shes the most sweetest girl I've ever met, shes my first girlfriend, we've met up before as well. According to her, her parents restrict her from using the internet and force her to do chores. She says she has no life and no time to herself. Shes stopped talking to me a lot like she used to along time ago (it used to be everyday). Sometimes she won't talk to me in 2 whole weeks..3 weeks..a month and a half. I e-mail her every single day, leave so many text messages, offline MSN messages and constantly think about her. I notice sometimes her MSN will be online and her display name will change from time-to-time and her MSN will be online for about an hour or so. Her display pictures will change time-to-time as well and she'll appear at times "Busy", "Be Right Back", or otherwise mostly online. Sometimes I'll even see her on Facebook and poke her. So I think inside, is she playing me for a fool? When I confronted her one day, I said to her "I know you've been online, based on your MSN display message changing, pics changing, etc. why is it that you never reply to my e-mails?" she tells me the same story about her parents being "mean" to her and that she only has a few minutes online. I then angrily told her, if you have enough time to sign on MSN, change your display name, picture, come on Facebook, why can't you spare a single minute in replying to my e-mails? I told her how much I missed her company. If there are any girls out there wondering how our relationship went, I would like your opinion too, I have always helped her out in her school projects when she needed help (were both in highschool in the same country) to the point I did 3 all-nighters helping her (I am not lying). Occasionaly, I would e-mail her poems that I wrote up, or send really heart-warming e-mails expressing my emotions for her. I always tell her I love you, but she never says it back or she'll say "love you" without putting the "I" in the "love you". I even notice at times whenever I say to her "I missed you so much" she'll reply "missed you too". What the hell is up with that? Is she afraid to say "I love you?" (Emphasis on the "I" part). I get the feeling sometimes shes using me to help her out, she hardly says sweet things to me or will say it when I'm helping her, when she is free and is online she never messages me on her own accord, I always message her. I think to myself "why don't I just let her message me for once?" So I would wait for days..and days..and it would drive me nuts (because I would feel really lonely) eventually I would message her and she'd get angry why I didn't speak to her. I feel very clueless what the heck to do. I dream about her a lot before I go to sleep..my dreams are about me living with her in our own house..whenever I see couples outside I always think about her..and sometimes in private I feel like crying inside because shes never there for me or will make up some excuse. I'm also too scared about breaking up with her because I fear she'll play the guilt trip on me and since its an online relationship, it's too hard to know if she's being truthful or not about her excuses. I also don't want to feel lonely either. When I did confront her about her not replying back to my e-mails, she'll either apologize, not reply or not really care about it. When she is online she will sound bitter about her life (ie. she's never left the country and can't go on a vacation because of her parents). I don't know what to do. She told me her mother lost her job recently and her grandmother died last year. (All unverified, but I somewhat believe her) I don't want to break-up because what if she's right about her life? It will destroy her completely if I break up with her and she'll hate me forever. I don't want to be uncompassionate to her but at the same time I feel so depressed because I feel no love from her. I'm scared if I break up she will also get back at me and try and ruin my career (I have some political ambitions). I've told her how hurt I feel when she's never there for me or makes time for herself when she's online ang ignores me but I get scared inside about hurting her feelings. I'm so clueless, what should I do? I still have some feelings for her but I don't know if she loves me. I'm contemplating on breaking-up with her or waiting for her to be free for me..one day. I don't know what's the moral and right thing to do..

My dad is having an affair and it's killing me inside just thinking about it...? Last year around in June my dad came home from Iraq to see my younger twin brothers graduate from high school in 2008. My parents made a surprise trip to Pismo Beach, CA after my brother's come home from Senior Sober Grad party. The next day my dad plugged in his small hard drive cord to my lap top and a bunch of pictures poped up. And some of them were more than just a friendly pose. I confronted him and asked, "Who's that lady your hugging next to?" He told me, "Ahh. Don't worry about it." I said "Ok and already forgot about it. So later in the hour I packed up all my stuff to get ready for our Family trip to Pismo Beach. I'm really excited since it's my first time going to the beach. *2009 Since I'm the only one in my home who signs on msn I once in a while sign in to take a break from talking on my cellphone. I checked my hotmail account the other day and since hotmail has upgraded where you can read your friend's recent new display pictures, headlines, etc. and I notice a picture of my dad displaying a romantic pose with the same woman I saw a year ago. I was like, "What?" And his headline was something like... "I'll never let you go sweetheart. Love You blah blah blah" I defiantly know the difference between my mom and the same woman I saw a year ago. And it breaks my heart that my dad choose to do this behind my mom's back. How am I going to confront my mom about this? She's the one who bust her ass to take of me and my siblings (I'm 21, 19, 19, 18) during hard times and even if we're not on the same page about life I still think no woman deserves this. Idk? I downloaded Windows Live Messenger..but now, no addons, no new winks and no new emoticons!!? I've had the problem for a while, ever since I downloaded the latest MSN, all my add-ons are gone, I cant go to like...the Blue Mountain thing to download emoticons, or winks. And I really want to be able to do this stuff. Also, on the messenger there are none of the add-ons on the side, and I cant play games neither in the chat rooms. As for the winks, I was gonna try going to separate sites to download them, but I'm afraid of catching viruses. Can anyone tell me how to fix my messenger problem? I've been doing some marketing for awhile now, and came across Netbannerads.com - Actually, they had e-mailed me and let me know that I may not have some keyword on my site, etc. After speaking with someone over there, I asked how Google!, Yahoo, and MSN would allow them to have a website appear on top of their listings. This is where things get tricky. They deal with outsourced non-affiliate, non-partnering 'active x attacking' companies. Those companies install 3rd party software on your computer (Kind of like those annoying pop-up windows you mindlessly click 'ok' to). Once the software is installed, and you utilize Google!, Yahoo, or MSN to search for something, the 3rd party software will display the person owning the 'keyword's website on TOP of the search listings. More in depth > If I search for "Toyota", in stead of getting Toyota's Advertisement First (Which I'm sure they paid good money for), I'll get Larry's Toyota Dealership in New Brunswick, NJ. appearing on top of everything, with my actual search listings far below this. I think there might even be some infringement here - not only on a user side, but on the policies governing advertising rights on these sites. Since its creation in the late sixties, it has quickly become an important and beneficial piece of modern technology to millions of people all over the world. It is a global computer network, which provides a variety of facilities for communication, information and entertainment. With simple and immediate access to endless websites, available with just a click of a mouse, it may seem that surfing the net is the perfect cure for boredom. On the contrary, many people find themselves questioning this positive attitude towards the World Wide Web, when considering the risks and disadvantages that it brings, and the dangers that anyone may encounter whilst online. Amongst the most popular sites are social networks, such as ’Facebook’ and ‘Netlog’, where users have their own page within the network, and can communicate with each other no matter where in the world they are. People of any age, race or background can use these sites, which means you can talk to all sorts of people and learn about hundreds of different cultures and lifestyles. This is a great way to meet new friends or keep in touch with your old ones. ‘MySpace’ is a network where accounts and home pages are created by users, and pictures, music, blogs (online diaries) and videos can be uploaded. Bands, venues, individuals or even companies may have their own ‘MySpace’ and therefore you are sure to find something of interest amongst the thousands of accounts. ‘Msn Messenger’, the instant messaging service, is probably the most popular way for web users to stay in contact and have free, live conversations with any number of people. This means it is possible for many disabled internet users to talk amongst friends, without the trouble of leaving the house or the high expense of using the telephone. The disadvantage of this way of communicating is the lack of trust available between members, due to the fact that there is no sure way of knowing exactly whom you are talking to. People can lie about their identity, particularly their age, and paedophiles and stalkers may use the sites as easy access to their victims. Adults may lure children into thinking they are other children of a similar age and might convince them into meeting up with them in the outside world. This is called grooming and has been known to lead onto kidnappings, rape and violent attacks. Innocent youths may also fall victims to people of their own age, when accounts are hacked and abuse can be written through fake identities. It seems easier for teenagers to emotionally and mentally bully children of their own age whilst online, without the full contact of face-to-face conversation in real-life. Hateful messages can be sent through instant messaging, emails and even comment boxes on websites or someone’s personal page. This cyber bullying is a huge issue online and children can often feel unsafe within their own homes if they are suffering this abuse. Social networks may also have an addictive affect on users meaning they interact a lot less with friends and family. Users may even be left lacking the skills to have real conversations with people, without being able to hide behind a computer screen and keyboard. Then again, there is also the isolation that people who do not have internet access may face. They are unable to stay in touch with friends in the way that so may people take for granted. However, a final advantage of these social networking sites is that they are an advertisers dream. Businesses can easily advertise online, and popular sites such as these social networking ones are a huge opportunity to attract customers. Children, adults, parents and people of different professions and interests can be specifically targeted through certain websites, which are suited to them, in order to attract the most potential customers. A good example of this is through search engines, which make their money by displaying advertisements within the results of what the internet user has searched. Of course businesses can use the internet to their advantage in many other ways also. Records and databases can be held on the internet, and secured and accessed through passwords. The stock exchange can be viewed online and companies can check in on their competition by simply searching for them on the internet. They can research customer demand , or keep in touch with buyers, employees and other businesses via email or their own webpage .Finally, websites like ‘Monster’, which is an online directory where employees upload their CV’s, allow employers to find the most suitable staff, without having to hold hundreds of interviews. Another way in which the internet is highly useful is through its vast range of entertainment available. This entertainment can mean that it is no longer necessary to leave your seat in order to have fun, and therefore hundreds of people have a significant lack of exercise, which of course is a health risk. This has been linked to the increasing problem of obesity in both children and adults. On the other hand, the vast sources of entertainment are a major plus to millions of internet surfers. Video upload sites prove to be very popular with hundreds of thousands of viewers visiting Youtube everyday. Anyone can upload anything they like onto these sites from TV series, to homemade short films, music videos and any other creations. It is a great way to watch and create video blogs and learn about other people from across the world. It could even be said that the internet is better than a remote control. Online gaming is another aspect of the internet to enjoy. Hundreds of free games are available to download and play with genres to suit everyone. Puzzle, adventure, racing and even multiplayer games can be accessed quickly through many websites, the majority are free and simple to download or play though a flash player. Downloading is relied on by many people so that they can have the latest songs and films stored to their own computer and then sent to their phone or personal music and video players (Ipods or MP4s). ‘Limewire’ is a program that allows millions of files to be shared across the net and almost anything can be downloaded quickly and simply from this free source. Most adults would agree that this needs to be more carefully regulated, but it is highly unlikely that age restrictions would ever prevent teenagers from intentionally viewing these sites, when they can simply type in a false age. Never the less there are still negative aspects to using the internet this way. It makes it possible for pupils to copy and cheat on tests and coursework using past essays and work that someone has uploaded onto the web previously. Some learners may become dependent on using the internet for help with their work and not able to perform as well under exam conditions in school. Some information gained from websites may be seriously outdated or inaccurate and therefore useless. There is also an unfair advantage on students that do no have internet access at home. Shopping online is another great way of taking advantage of the World Wide Web. You can purchase anything from a huge assortment of products from anywhere in the world; from clothes, gifts, memorabilia and anything else that you could possibly want. It’s the ultimate shopping experience, and shops you can find on the high street have their own online stores along with shops only available on the net. It is a much simpler way of browsing for whatever you may be looking for, without the bother of busy crowds. There are also often online discounts available, or some items sold on the internet are originally cheaper than on the high street anyway, and comparing prices online is easily done. Being able to shop online makes a big difference in peoples lives if they are disabled or seriously ill. Being housebound means that they do not get the chance to visit the supermarket or their local city centre on a regular basis, like so many people do, but that problem has been solved with home delivery. Anything they might buy off the internet can probably be delivered straight to their doorstep, whether it’s their weekly shop or something they’ve splashed out on. ‘Ebay’ is a massively successful online auction site where you can bid on items which other people are selling through the website. All you need is an online account and then you can start buying and selling pretty much what ever takes your fancy. You can make money by selling unwanted pieces in your home or save money by striking lucky in an auction, and having the winning bid on your requested item. However, things that you see on the internet may not always turn out to be what you expected when they arrive at your home. What you have bought may have been misrepresented online and you could be left disappointed with something you have no use of. It is also common to overspend without realising when buying online. Paying for goods via the internet is only possible by using a credit card and sometimes this means that you are not as aware of exactly how much money you are parting with, if you do not physically hand it over. Even more unfortunate is that your card details may not be secure and someone else could use your bank account without you knowing. Although using the internet is an essential aspect to many people’s lives, it does prove to have risks and consequences if used inappropriately or too often. Still, I have to disagree with the statement of “the internet is a monster out of control” because I find that the pros out weigh the cons by far.
