What was that well-known website with cute little animals and baby pics? Like the hamster eating broccoli etc? OK, there was a website I used to go to, and I cannot for the life of me remember it, but it had cute pictures and videos of cute little animals doing cute little things. I think the dramatic groundhog made its first appearance here, though I'm not positive on that one, but I most remember a little hamster eating a piece of broccoli, and wiggling his feet in happiness. And they use that lolspeak, like "I has a broccoli!", which can be annoying, but the pics are cute. Help!!!

why are ppl being so nasty about my unborn baby? last year i fell pregnant but 4 months into the pregnancy it was discovered my baby was badly disabled and i lost him,the birth was horrendous as i had a full labour,holding my tiny son in my hand was the worst experience of my life and i will never get over it.then this year i discovered i was pregnant again which as u can imagine i was overjoyed but also petrified,with each month and scan ive dreaded hearing what the doctors were gonna tell me,but at 8 months now ive been reasured the baby looks well and healthy,im so releived and extatic about this that i decided to hav a 3d scan done.seeing my baby made me so happy and i wanted to share my pics with the world,so i put some on my facebook.alot of my friends were trilled for me but ive been surprised my alot of ppl especially sum family members reactions.my sister looked disgusted and told me i shudnt be sharing those pics they shud b kept private and my brother was the same as well as another close friend,they almost looked at my baby like it was an animal! this has really hurt and offended me as they know what i went threw b4.why are ppl so cruel about baby pics? im so offended and actually quiet angry weith them now i feel like never talking to them again.why wud they react this way?

Found Baby Duck! Can't Keep Head Up, Is This Normal? Will It Die?! (PICS INSIDE)? Basically today I saw something from far away that was yellow and was wobbling it feet, I thought it might have been a turtle but when I got there it was a baby duck that was on it's back and couldn't get up. It looked very weak and it's mother was not there. She showed up later with tons of baby ducks swimming in the water. When I tried to put the duck in the water to see if it could swim it didn't want to swim, so maybe it was hurt? I tried to give it to the mom, but she just stepped all over it! :O I don't think it's hurt, it seems fine, but there's something about the way it tilts it's head when it's sleeping. The bottle has colorful numbers encouraging learning and pointing out numbers and animals on the sides of the bottle to baby and toddler while bathing.Then underneath encouraging this play it says Keep out of reach of children. Could anyone help me with getting info about a really old doll toy? While moving stuff around my parents house, this toy from at least around the 1950's appeared. It is basically a circular baby walker for a doll. the legs (with 4 tiny black wheels) detatch from it like they would on some t.v. trays. Around the edge is an abacus sort of thing made of metal and wood balls (one red, green, yellow and purple ball for each section, which are marked off by 5 metal parts that hold up the metal ring off the walker). On the seat of it, it says "DOLLY-DEN" and "trade mark registered". Seat dangles from four white straps that hook onto small metal loops underneath the walker table. It seems to be made of the same sort of material the old-fashioned brown clipboards are made out of. It's painted a pale baby-pink, w/ pics of a bear, a rabbit, a duck, and a dog (each w/ a baby animal) painted on in pale blue color.The writting on the seat is in the same blue color and another pair of ducks painted above it.If any1 has any info about this, plz let me know.Thanks! : )

what is a good focus item to have during delivery? I was told by many people that bringing an item to the delivery room to focus on helps like pics of family or a stuffed animal for the baby. I was thinking a photo of my mother would be a great item as she gave birth to three babies all natural and she can be a good inspiration. By focus item I mean one to look at while your screaming you will never have intercourse again and the babies head is crowning.

What Kind Of Amazon Animal Is IT? theres this book that has amazon animals i it. and in it, was a picture of this very strange creature, that lives in the trees, and it blended in the trees really well, it had loose skin on its side like a sugar gkider, for gliding, the skin was really loose, and it had the animal holding on to a branch, upside down. Amazon mammal, Large Lives in the trees NOT a monkey or sugar glider has a weird name. when upside down, its loose skin on its side (for gliding) is really good to keep its baby safe, like as if the baby where in a bag. Strange question about animal poop? I was taking my daughter to her room to go to bed, and I have to walk through the basement to get there. I stepped in animal poop =/ Ugh. I don't know what kind of animal it was, can you help identify it for me? pics! why are my cats so needy? is it because of there breed? My cat Will is always crying non stop because he wants me to stop what i'm doing and pet him. WILD BABY BIRD QUESTION!!!HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!? i found a wild bird out in the rain it cant fly and tries to but cant...its not too young and it has its adult feathers...its still a bit small and i dont know how to help it survive i wrapped it in a cloth to keep it warm and left it outside in a cage but out of the rain...HELP i have no idea what to feed it and stuff...this happened an hour ago!!! if someone can tell me how to put pics on the question i can find one on the internet that looks about the same age and put it on but i dont know how......PLEASE HELP i love animals and i want it to eat..btw do u have to rip the worm into pieces cause it wont eat it/!?!?!?!?!?!? baby bunny Help :? i let my 2 cats out for awhile today, so they could jump around and get some exercise and play with the dog a bit(small dog -he doesn't hurt them) and Roo found an animal in the backyard. I heard squealing so i followed her into the garage where i saw that she was carrying a tiny little bunny. so i told her to drop it and when she did i grabbed it and brought it inside. i planned to take it back out right away, but i couldn't find the mama and didn't want to just "set it down" being the dog was there and all. so i went to walmart and got some food, woodchips, a water dispenser, kitten milk replacer and two little eye droppers. i carried him around for live five hours, because i didn't want to leave him home...he might've died! so he was warm i had him in a little towel. then i tried to feed him some pellets, course i read online that if their eyes are open you can feed them grass and pellets, but he wasn't interested. then i wrapped him up in a little blanket/hand-towel, laid him on his back, and fed him from the syringe. once he found it he started hiting it and sucking and his cheeks were puffing in and out. he put his front feet up like he was nursing it was so cute but then a little spilled down his neck and he spazzed out and dove under the towle a little bit. now i put him back in the make-do cage and he sat up for awhile, looked like he was holding something between his paws, and now he crawled back into the little tunnel his towel had made. his cage has woodchips all over and a bowl of pellets in the corner, a little hamster-water-dispenser-thing by the pellets, and then a towel in the corner, huddled up like a tunnel. His name is Thumper now :) LOL shoot sorry im just so used to posting here lol you know a better section? like cats or somehting i dont know also i srayed up til like 3am feeding him like every hour and he would eat a little then sleep in my lap. I covered him completely with the blanket caurse he would laways run under it anwyas, and everytime he laid by me under the co vers he would sleep. But in his cage his eyes were wide open every time it was up and now in the morning when i got up. Ideas for baby nursery...? I am not pregnant, but I have always been into interiror decorating, and my friend, who is a little "challenged" in that area, to say the least. So, she has kind of hired me, so to say, to help plan/decorate her nursery. why did mailer -daemon return letters/numbers instead of the pictures sent.? W98 sec edition? I sent a page full of pictures of tiny animal babies, when returned by mailer-daemon, no pictures at all. A long list of what the pics were with alot of words, abbreviations, codes, etc.

Do i have to put my dog to sleep? My dog lia is a beautiful great, loving, playful dog! The only thing is, is that she doesn't get along with animals and kids! I have had her for 4 years, and I have had a baby since then! She loves my daughter, but often growls at her, she bit her on her cheek yesterday for no reason at all! I can not keep her, as much as i want to, but i would really hate to have to put her to sleep! I would put her in the pund, but she would be a very unhappy dog! Is there any where i can take her that would take good care of her and adopt her out, or anyone i can give her to! I want to send her toys, a dog bed, and her dog food with her! Please help Lia, she is a fantastic dog that needs a good home with a good owner, with no amials or children! She could be your loving best friend! Which doggy should we adopt: Pics included? We are a family of three, my bf, my 2 1/2yr old daughter and myself and our fur babies, our chihuahua and siamese kitty. We were looking for an additional family member and instead on going on looks first (made that mistake with the Doberman that we had yrs ago, he HATED apt life! and we had to find him a new home) we are strictly going on personality!! Our requirements are: Relaxed, loving, and friendly with all people especially our young daughter and of course small animals. Today we went to the humane society and met the sweetest 6month old German Shepard/Aussie mix. She was only 27lbs & not getting much bigger. She was SO sweet! and SO calm! She just laid there being a sweet heart. She has a hold on her, but we put a second hold on her. Then I got an email today about a 3yr old golden retriever who is wonderful with kids and other pets. She sounds great. I dont have breed experience with either, but both seem like they would fit in wonderfully here! The golden seems very laid back but so does the aussie mix. Which should we adopt? We are not outdoorsy ppl, but we do go on walks and on some hiking trails. We live in an apt, and I am a stay at home mom so I am home all day! The reason the aussie was being rehomed is bc she had seperation anxiety? Although you would never know it to see her. They said she chewed through her kennel lol & broke a tooth but when the vet looked at her he said she had all her teeth, so who knows. But She seems very docile to me and who knows maybe they just didnt have patience? The golden is being rehomed because she is moving and only allowed one dog, she is keeping her older dog as he would be harder to rehome. Thanks for your feed back! why do people have pics of cats on here, if cats will leave their babies if they suspect tampering? If a wild cat leaves her kids in the woods, and you mess with them, they'll come back, smell it, and leave the babies. So why exactly do people have pictures of barbaric animals in the Religion section? domesticated cats are not natural cats. that's just a front, underneath, surely that cat is barbaric.

Found letter from his ex... received while we were together. He kept the letter...? My boyfriend and I just moved from our trailer into a house. So we were going through things and throwing stuff away. While I unpacked the new house he went to the other place to get stuff that was in the shed. There are some things we need to fix at the house so every now and then we stop in to fix what we can when we have time. On my way home from work tonight I stopped in to grab the trash cans and bring them to the driveway so they can be emptied. Well, an animal knocked down one of the trash cans and the stuff was everywhere, so I had to pick it up. I found pics of my boyfriends ex, and pics of her baby.. and even a license plate that says **** loves ******. None of this bothered me because they have been apart for over a year. BUT here's the kicker... She owed him money, so she send him a check in the mail about 3 months into him and my relationship. Fine, no problem.. but little did I know, there was a letter in with the check. Telling him she loves him and wants him back, and all this other crap. He tells me up and down he is over her... BUT, he kept the letter and hid it with all of the other secret stuff of hers he had. If he was over her, he would have thrown it away right?? Now, he's telling me I had no right to read it because it was personal. But there was no reason for him to keep it. I don't know what to think now, and whether I should stay with him. AND... he was going to propose to her but she cheated on him and had some other guys baby, and he won't get rid of the ring her bought for her. help?

We bought her as a tiny puppy, and have had her for eight years. If I had to guess, I would think she is part Yorkie, but I would like some input from the general public on what breeds they think contributed to the birth of my sweet pup. As far as behaviour, she has shown 'herding' behaviour towards my cat and other dog, which we thought was strange. She has a tendency to run off if given the opportunity (which we take every precaution to not give her). She is a medium sized dog, about 25lbs. She also has somewhat of a prey drive when it comes to wild animals, most specifically rabbits. She is terrified of loud noises (fireworks, thunder, etc.) and is extremely social; she will cuddle up and fall asleep right next to you. She exhibits no signs of violence whatsoever, never bites, and hardly ever growls or barks.

Is my 8 week old kitten sick? PLEASE Help!? We got our baby girl Nina at 3 weeks old from a girl who's Cat just had babies and she was going to put them in a shelter that would've killed them right away because they were too young to be adopted. My girlfriend had experience with taking care of young kittens, but Nina wasn't hard to at all. The first day we got her she was using the Cat box NO problem. She was given special Cat milk that she drank on her own without any problems. She's such an amazing kitten. The first few days we had her she was absolutely cuddly. Once she got use to us she became VERY playful. Now she's about 9 weeks old, and for almost a week now she's been acting really different. With each day she started to play less and less. And all she's doing is sleeping. I think she's sick but my girlfriend thinks she's fine. She seems like she's losing weight though she eats alot. But thats just from wat i see, i'm not home most the time and my girlfriend is and says im just imagining things. Even our friends who knows how playful she is come over and ask if she's ok or if she's sick cuz she just lays there and sleeps. For a while she ALWAYS wanted my girlfriend. She just cuddles up on her and sleeps. If my girlfriend left the room she'd follow or cry if she couldn't get to her. My girlfriend recently began pregnant and it seems like since we found out the news that Nina has been acting like this. But with each day she becomes less and less active. I use to rub her belly and she'd grab my hand with her paws and bite and play with it. Now she just lays there and closes her eyes or pushes my hand away with her foot. Is Nina sick? Does anyone know wat it is? She hasn't had her shots yet cuz she's too young. Could it have something to do with my girlfriend being pregnant (as wierd as that sounds. But last time my girlfriend was pregnant she had a puppy who did the same thing. Stayed right by her side and kept her company). Is she just get more mature with age? Or am i just over reacting about the whole thing? Any ideas? Please DONT say go to a Vet. We're considering that, but I dont get paid for another 2 weeks and I can bring her then. I cant let him go. ever miss a pet so much and it hurts? thinking how much I miss my baby boy Cena,He was more like my child then anything he was so spoiled lol. My baby bunnies have been orphaned. almost 2 days old. Help? I've raised rabbits for years. When I bred them, I always bred two so I'd have a foster mom in case something went wrong.Well, I took in a momma and her babies. Then, a week after having her she had more babies! she had 3 babies when I got her, 7 weeks old. She had 8 this time. When I went out in the morning to feed them and everything, It was then I saw them. 6 dead and 2 alive. I quickly grabbed the babies and went to warm them up. (they were chilled). All the babies had been scattered on the floor of her cage. Once I warmed the babies up and got them stable, I went to see if momma was lactating. Well she isnt. And I dont have any other does pregnant, since this wasnt a planned pregnancy. The babies are now a day and a half old. I've kept them nice and warm and have been attempting to feed them. I got the small animal powder mix from petco. Its goat milk. I've had trouble feeding them as they wont take the bottle. And I've been using the syringe now because the bottle's nipple is as big as one of the babies head.... so he cant really use it. Its the kitten bottle. I've successfully got them to pee and poop after my attempts to feed them. Is their anything I can do to make them take the bottle or syringe? It gets so frustrating and I know their not getting enough to eat but I dont want to force feed because I dont want it to go into the lungs. I heard putting honey or something on their lips make them eat? Or the Bene-bac for small animals that is suppose to put micro-organisms and their GI tract and restore appetite? question for evolutionists.? ok, today I was watching nova( Pro Evolution) but to me they were destroying the entire evo theory. when I think of dinosaurs I think of Hot climate, rocky, and so on. but they were excavating dino fossils in Alaska. now I know all you geniuses will say that 5,000.000.000.000.000.000.000.000.000.000.000.000.000.000.000. years ago, Alaska was hot or there was no Alaska at all but these scientists admitted that at the time these animals where alive that it was cold at certain seasons and capable of snowing. they were trying to figure out how these reptiles could survive in these harsh climate during the winter. they looked at migration as an option but when examining the fossils of baby dinos they determined that they could not make such an expedition. the only thing they could come up with is that the dinos where warm blooded. so they looked closer at the bones and determined that they were probably warm blooded. according to the scientists, when climates are not favorable for reptiles or there is not enough food they will stop growing. sometimes they will go threw phases where they will start and stop growing. now these phases where they start and stop growing leaves tell tail signs in the bones that this occurred. from the pics they showed on nova they looked like lines in the bones that marked where they stopped and started growing. strangely enough these dino bones did not have any of these signs and these evolutionists stated that the dino bones where more like a mammal bone than a reptile bone. the scientists clearly stated that these animals where well adapted to their climate. Now why, If they were so adapted to their climate and environment did they evolve. Now before you say I am uninformed remember that there has got to be a reason for them to evolve. I can see where you get your logic from but there has got to be a reason. many say that they just evolve but there has got to be a reason. Micro Evolution( which I believe is true and it has been proven) demonstrates that there has got to be a reason for an animal to change. By the way Micro evolution is really just animals adapting to their environment and climate and all that jazz. yes different species of birds have "evolved" because of different climate conditions and other such things as diet. HELP TRAVELING HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT BOARDING YOUR DOG? I will be traveling to visit family for 10 days with my family for spring break..we have booked a hotel room at $215.00 nightly so that we can accomodate our 6 month old Toy fox Terrier named Scooby..I am willing to pay this price because my baby should not be left overnight with anyone else..my brother called and said that there is an awesome place in the area that would literally cut our stay and we would literally pay 1/3 of what we are spending..mind you my family is full of dog lovers and all of my family uses this facility for daycare, vet and everything to pamper their fur babies..I AM TERRIFIED TO LEAVE HIM OVERNIGHT!! He does attend daycare three times a week and on the other two says he has his own room in my office to relax and whatever else he wants to do..it sounds good, I have talked to the staff, my family has sent pics, and they even did a video conference with me..the facility is very posh and clean and it doesnt have all of those ugly wire cages..the dogs actually has nice cots like the have in daycares with cubby holes, heated floors and a professional vet on site at all times..and I can even do the Live Spy Cam online.. I am very impressed but this is MY BABY ..my family are DOG LOVERS and they treat their pets like Kings and Queens..please share your experience on the boarding issue ..this is the main point of the question BOARDING...because if it is cost effective and an awesome solution it is not a bad thing to save..but if it is not a good answer then I will foot the note!! These dogs had a home, but for a reason only the previous owner only knows, were given to the shelter." What's an AR? Responsible breeders who show and do genetic testing insist on taking their dogs back at anytime if the owner doesn't want them. Many ask for annual pics. Their dogs aren't in shelters- this guys may end up there down the road. Couldn't copy the rest in to continue questioning you. People like me who adopt dogs from shelters are part of the solution not the problem. My baby will stay with me till the day he passes away. Here's the rest "If the dog is a performance breed, just doing what it was bred for and doing it well is more then enough reason to continue the bloodline and people do this all the time with hunting and sled dogs." Who care about doing genetic testing to be sure they won't pass down awful problems? Responsible breeders sure do. My mother's family are carriers of cystic fibrosis. I will have genetic testing done before I reproduce to ensure that my mate and self are not both carriers- if we are we will adopt. He was stating that people don't have money to participate in confirmation and watching a herding dog herd was all needed to breed him responsibly. I completely disagree with dogs being bred to be 'pretty'- my dog is a mutt and is adorable- because he is such a sweet dog. If you're breeding for a purpose looks are secondary. I am addicted? Ok, for some reason I have become addicted to Yahoo answers. I stayed up until 3am last night answering questions and posting pics of my dogs.(crazy huh) I need to stop now, but before I do I want everyone to look at pics of my good, sweet babies. I love them so much, they are the best dogs ever! Sammi-8 month old/F, Shepherd/Lab mix. I found her wandering the streets of Oklahoma City. She was tired and hungry. Obviousley had never been in a house before or walked on a leash. She was a bit hand shy at first but with love she has grown to be a sweet, protective, wonderful animal. Speedy-5 month/F/ Heeler/rat terrier mix. I rescued her off petfinder.com, she had been wanderig along a highway and was taken in by a rescue organization. She's a little feisty thing, and so smart. Im not even gone yet and I feel guilty,lol? this is long so bare with me I have been given an oppurtunity to go to Orlando for 3 days, I only have to pay half for the hotel room ( sharing with one of my neighbors ) One of my neighbors ,we'll call her Janet, her daughter is getting married and she has been begging me to go for months but I couldnt afford the plane tickets and stuff. So now they are renting a van, the day after the wedding a day at animal kingdom for me will be paid for by neighbor. She loves my photography and wants me there as a 2nd photographer. Another lady down the street got married recently and told janet my pics I took at her wedding were better than the guy she paid almost 2k for wedding pics. Janet wanted me to bring my 3.5 yr old daughter along and I said no cause shes never been that far from home and she wont sit still for a wedding and I need to move around to get pics. So this will be 3 days without my kids ! I've never been without them for more than 7 hrs even when I was having my 2nd baby, My husband is completely capable of taking care of them, that's not the problem. I'm already feeling guilty about leaving and I haven't left yet,lol. Im always telling people they need to recharge and get away and now Im like , easier said than done right ? BUT I do deserve the getaway, then why is it so hard to just let go for 3 days awe thanks guys, im starting to feel better. its just hard, people always gasp when I say I havent been on any overnights away from my kids, is it that odd ? lol

Papillon help? I'm getting a papillon puppy in a week and i have a few questions. I hear Papillon's go through an 'ugly' baby stage. Is this true? Is there anyway i could see what they look like through it? Cause I've seen baby papillons and they look fine to me. (Google has no pics) Do papillon's make good pets? I want a companion that wouldn't mind sitting on my lap quietly while i watch tv and things like that, but still a puppy that would be hyper and fun to play with. My dad is getting it from another province (im in canada =P) and he might need to drive it back in his truck when he comes back from work (maybe)...so would this alone time with the puppy make it bond with him more? Or would it scare it or make it less sociable? All the other animals ive had have bonded with my mom more, they run to her for playing, they come to her when she calls them..and stuff like that, but IM the one who walks, feeds, plays with, and sleeps on the same bed with them. How can i bond with it? Thanks. its not an hour or 2 away that my dad would come back with it, it would be around a weeks drive if he decides to buy it out where he is now

i need help with this dog that i rescued? i heard and saw the most horrific animal cruelty i could ever have imaged. altho to some it might not sound as cruel as it seems but to me it was AWFUL. i was sittin at my computer today and heard a dog yelp, me bein a animal rescuer my instinct is to run see whats wrong. well there was this beautiful pitbull outside and a jeep speeding away. the poor baby was limpin while trying to catch this jeep. well i run in the house grabbed the leash and took off. i was determined to save this dog. i got him here. looked him over, feed him watered him and allowed him to interact with my other 2 pits. he does good with my other 2 pits as long as theres no food around. so my boyfriend and i have decided to keep this pit. we have named him diablo. i found a vet that has offered to run test, bathe, give him his shots, microchip him and xray him all for free. when i ask why she said i was kind enough to take him in and she wants to help me by doin a complete check up and update on this cute lil guy. we have determined hes about 15 months old. ill get pics of him this weekend. question...how can i break the food aggression?

trying to find a stuffed christmas moose from late 80's ( more details inside )? every year around christmas, I start to think about this stuffed animal I got at one of my dads work christmas parties back in the late 80's, ( posibly very early 90's ) Im pretty sure back then it was sold at K mart, posibly other places, but I mainly remember seeing them hanging up in K mart. It was a big stuffed moose with antlers that were kind of floopy , and he wore a scarf, I THINK the antlers might have been made out of corduroy or a wavy corduroy like matierial. I want to say the name of this toy was mooseltoe ( moosletoe? ), Ive tried to look this up online, but only get beanie babies, and some modern stuff, not the stuffed animal I am thinking about from the 80's. if anyone knows what I'm talking about please reply, even better would be if any one remembers the proper name or has any pics or best yet a link to someplace I could buy one . thanks in advance. actualy the more I think about it, the store might not have been Kmart, it very well could have been venture, in chicago in the late 80's there were only 3 big stores, venture, Kmart, zayre, and I dont know why but im leaning more twards this being from venture then Kmart, thought it could have very well been sold at both, i seem to vaguly remember it being a store exclusive, though again I could be wrong about that :( sorry i dont have much more info.

Getting a Sheltie Pup soon.. body odor questions..? HI.. I'm excited about getting my sheltie pup in a couple weeks.. The breeder has pics online and she's getting SOO adoreable!!! Anyway.. this will be my first inside dog, first dog that is MINE and not a "family" dog.. One question (please don't take me the wrong way) is about dog's smell.. I love all animals, and will make a good dog owner, but I've always been a bit more of a cat person.. I like that kitties have no odor.. Dog's odor is something I'll have to get used to. (I'll love my little baby, don't worry!!) But are there any tricks to make my baby smell better?? Do the wipes help?? How often is it good to give a sheltie a bath? How young is too young to bathe. My pup will be 8 weeks the day I get it. Any suggestions, tips, advice?? Allready got her crate! Amazon.com shipped it super-fast... LOL... To be clear, I'm not so worried about breath (I know there's easy ways to help that) Or dirty bottom (Can be washed) I'm talking about that "dog" smell that's on their fur and on my hands after I pet a dog.. I can pick up one of my cats and bury my nose in it's fur and it's like burying my nose in a stuffed animal or pillow.. no odor.. Dogs have this "dog smell" Don't know how else to describe...

The ad stated must go to a Christian family who would take excellent care of the puppy, and as long as that term was met, then the puppy was free. It never said what breed, only to contact them for more info & pics. So I contacted them with this email: I am interested in the puppies. Can you please tell me what breed they are, and a little more about them? Also, I would love photos if you could possibly send a few to this email, and tell me where you are located? Have you ever had or do you have a Shetland Sheepdog? Do you know someone that does? ? I'm just wondering what they're like. I have two Shelties and have had others that have since passed away. I love the breed dearly and I love my babies so much but there are some personality traits that most Shelties seem to have that are kinda annoying. The first one is that they love to bark! They are very smart and excitible and I think it's their way of trying to talk to you. However, they've gotten us into trouble with the neighbors! And I play and love on them all the time so it's not from me not paying attention to them. Actually, they bark the most when I'm playing with them and my female has this ear piercing bark! Seriously, my ears ring if she barks right by me! The second one is shyness. Alot of Shelties can be quite shy or just weary of strangers or certain people. When people go to pet my male, he always backs away. He wags his tail and he'd never bite but he can be such a scardy cat! My female is much more out-going though. The only other problem with them is that they do require lots of grooming especially when it's burr season like right now (I have to pick burrs out forever after every walk!). It's all very worth it though! They have so many good qualities and these seem to be true for most Shelties I've ever had or seen. They are extremely intelligent! They are very protective and loyal! They are extremely affectionate with the people they love! They are so pretty! Oh, I just thought of another thing that's not so good! They do tend to love to chase cars! I always have my two on leashes when on roads but I'm always afraid they may break loose. They also love to chase other animals. My female is obsessed with deer and I'm always like "What are you going to do if you actually catch one, little girl?". When they are at the beach, they constantly chase seagulls up and down the beach! They'll chase them forever along the seashore. They don't bother anyone. Most people think it's kinda funny actually!
